Historic Indiana bridge collapses under semi
PAOLI, Ind. (WISH) — An historic Indiana bridge is closed after authorities say it gave way as a semi drove through it Christmas Day.
Officials say the bridge in Paoli was built in 1880 and it could be closed for months.
Signs along the road warn semi drivers that trucks are not allowed on the bridge.
WDRB reports the truck weighed 35 tons, which is nearly six times over the weight limit.
