Emergency crews respond to vacant residence fires

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Emergency crews responded to two vacant residence fires early Saturday morning.

Crews were first dispatched and headed to the scene just before 3 a.m. Saturday.  The first crew arrived on scene just minutes later.

According to Indianapolis Fire Department, the fires occurred in the 6200 block of East 26th Street.

Crews were able to get the flames under control in less than twenty minutes.

IFD says there were no injuries as a result of the fire.

Damage to both residences have been estimated at $60,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
