2-year-old drowns in Noblesville pool

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Noblesville authorities are investigating after a 2-year-old boy drowned in a pool Saturday.

Noblesville Police Department officers were called to the 18700 block of Northview Place around 6:15 p.m. on report of a missing child.

A female adult family member was mowing the lawn while watching the boy when she noticed him missing, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

About 15 minutes later, the boy was found floating face down in a neighbor’s pool in the 1400 block of North 10th Street, the sheriff’s office said.

Officers and deputies jumped a fence and dove into the pool to pull the boy out, but they were unsuccessful in reviving him.

He was transported to Riverview Health and pronounced dead.

His name has not been released.
