NWS confirms tornado touchdown on Sunday in Montgomery County
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — On Tuesday, the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down in northern Montgomery County Sunday evening.
The tornado was rated an EF-0, with winds estimated between 65-85 mph.
The tornado briefly touched down in a field about one mile southwest of Linden. No damage was reported.
This was the third tornado touchdown in a week. Last Tuesday, an EF-0 tornado touched down in northern Greene County, damaging several barns.
Last Thursday, an EF-1 tornado touched down just north of Zionsville in Boone County, damaging a barn and a few houses.
Sunday’s tornado is the ninth reported in the state for 2016.
