Ohio man accused of shooting at van full of kids
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A Columbus man was arrested Tuesday after police say he shot at a van full of children while fleeing a crash scene.
It happened Saturday morning in the area of Grasmere Avenue and Duxberry Avenue in Columbus, Ohio.
The victim told police that she was involved in a crash with the driver of a gray Audi.
When she tried to follow the Audi to get its license plate information police say 22-year-old Michael Watson fired several gunshots at her, striking her vehicle.
The woman’s five children were in the car when the shots were fired. Nobody was injured.
Police said Watson eventually ran from the crash scene, leaving the Audi behind.
Watson was later identified through a photo array. He was arrested and charged with felonious assault.
