Purdue University student killed in Alabama car accident

MADISON, Al. (WISH) – A Purdue University student was killed in a single vehicle accident in Alabama Sunday morning.

According to police in Alabama, officers who responded to the scene discovered a vehicle in a wooded area down an embankment off of I-565 in Madison, Alabama.

The driver of the vehicle, the sole occupant, 22-year-old Breanna Lemler of Bourbon, Indiana, was killed in the accident.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.

In addition to being a student at Purdue University, Lemler was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Theta at Purdue.
