2 injured in Lafayette dog attack

AFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police confirm two people are injured after a dog attack in Lafayette Thursday afternoon.

Lt. Brian Gossard said there was a pit bull attack on the 3200 block of Townsend Drive just after noon. He said a male and a female were injured during the attack.

Gossard said said the female has serious injuries but were not believed to be life-threatening. He said the male’s injuries were less serious.

The dog was captured and taken to the humane society.
