Semi fire shuts down I-70 lanes overnight
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A semi fire early Tuesday morning backed up traffic on Interstate 70 in Indianapolis.
It happened shortly after 2 a.m. on eastbound I-70 just west of Shadeland Avenue.
The driver was not hurt. He said a mechanical issue caused the semi to catch fire.
Crews were on scene through the morning to clean up spilled diesel fuel.
All lanes were reopened around 6:30 a.m.
