INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has been sentenced for the fatal shooting of another man in October 2015.

Lamar Wooden, 25, was found guilty for the Oct. 16 killing of 40-year-old Gerald Eldride in the 700 block of East 30th Street.

Wooden was sentenced Friday to 60 years in prison.

Eldridge was shot while driving after he and Wooden left a birthday party, police said at the time. Eldridge was found face down a few feet from his vehicle that had crashed into a curb.

No one else was inside the vehicle.
