Woman identified after being shot and killed on city’s south side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Authorities have identified a woman that died after she was found shot in the front seat of a car on Wednesday morning.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman as 21-year-old Kaylin Cole. An autopsy has not yet been released.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Senate Avenue after reports of shots fired just before 8:20 a.m. Officers found Cole with a gunshot wound sitting in the driver’s seat of a black Ford Mustang.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said she died at the scene.
Witnesses said a man and a woman were involved in an altercation prior to the shooting. A description of a male suspect has not yet been made public.
