SHERIDAN, Ind. (WISH) — The state fire marshal will investigate the loss of a boat dealer’s structure and its contents, Sheridan Fire Department said Monday night.

The fire was reported about 9:35 a.m. Monday at Portside Marine Sales & Service Inc., 1637 E. 226th St. That’s just west of U.S. 31 in Hamilton County.

Fire crews from multiple companies brought the fire under control within about 90 minutes.

The fire was initially dispatched as a working boat fire threatening a 12,000-square-foot building at Portside Marine.

A manager and two workers were in the building when the fire broke out, but everyone got out safely, Sheridan Fire Department said. No firefighters were injured.
