Thousands experiencing power outages
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – On Wednesday, bone-chilling temperatures and even colder wind chills will move in, leading to easily the coldest conditions this season.
With temperatures and windchills that dangerously low, power outages can become a problem.
As of 7:45 a.m., Duke Energy was reporting nearly 7,000 customers were without power.
Indianapolis Power and Light was reporting that a little more than 3,500 customers did not have power.
In Carmel alone, approximately 1,300 homes did not have power, according to the Carmel Fire Department.
