2 seriously injured in Wednesday evening house fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people were seriously injured in a Wednesday evening.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews responded to a fire at residence in the 1200 block of East Thompson road just before 11 p.m.

IFD says a 51-year-old woman, who escaped the residence by jumping from a second story window, and a 67-year-old woman both suffered serious injuries.

Additionally, two other occupants sustained minor injuries.

Those injured were transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Damages has been estimated at $80,000.

No word yet on what may have caused the fire.
