Stormy start to the week
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Bring the umbrella this morning! Showers and storms are likely during the morning commute. Showers will be in and out over the course of the afternoon with highs in the mid 70s for Monday. There is a marginal risk of strong to severe thunderstorms in southern Indiana for Monday afternoon with the main threats being damaging winds and hail. Monday night showers will become more isolated with lows in the upper 60s.
Tuesday will be another soggy day with a better chance of strong to severe storms. Best timing on severe weather is during the afternoon and evening. Main threats will be damaging winds and hail. Highs wil be the warmest we see all week as highs soar to the upper 70s. Showers will exit the areas late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon will be dry but cloudy with highs in the lower 70s.
By the end of the week, highs will cool off to the lower 70s with mainly sunny skies. Showers and storms will skirt just north of us for the weekend. That’ll provide an isolated shower chance in northern parts of the state throughout the weekend with highs climbing to the mid 70s.
