INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man and a woman died in a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck Monday evening in Johnson County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash at State Road 135 and State Road 44 near Bargersville at around 7:30 p.m. and located two people with fatal injuries.

The victims were identified Tuesday as 56-year-old Michael Merriman and 46-year-old Melissa Fidler, both of Indianapolis.

Johnson County Coroner Mike Pruitt says Merriman and Fidler were riding on a motorcycle together at the time of the accident.

Investigators have not said what led to the crash. Toxicology and autopsy results are pending.
