Restaurant searches for a ‘chief margarita officer’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Are you looking for a temp job that’s a fiesta?

The Mexican restaurant chain On The Border said Monday it has a job for anyone whose favorite road-trip song is “100 Bottles of Tequila on the Wall,” and you’ve also got to love margaritas. The business has started a national search for “an experienced, self-driven and fun-loving chief margarita officer.”

Applicants must know how to mix a margarita on short notice, distinguish between fresh-squeezed lime juice and canned limeade, and be able to argue why salt is better than sugar on the rim of the glass.

Of course, moderation as well as encouraging others to indulge responsibly are job requirements.

Job benefits include free chips and salsa. It’s a one-day job on Feb. 22, also known as National Margarita Day, and it pays $1,000 in restaurant gift cards.

Whip up a batch of your favorite margaritas and apply by visiting ontheborder.com/events/chief-margarita-officer. You’ve only got until Feb. 17 to submit your resume.
