Missing Vigo County man found dead in Morey Lake

BRAZIL, Ind. (WISH) — A missing man’s body was found in a Vigo County lake Monday after officials say they found his clothes floating on the water.

Tracey Williams, 58, was last seen in Vigo County on Dec. 7. According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, he hadn’t been reported missing until Sunday.

Around 11 a.m. Monday morning, detectives near Morey Lake spotted clothing floating on the water. That’s in northeastern Vigo County, about 10 minutes west of Brazil.

After reporting his clothes, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Dive Team located and recovered Williams’ body.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death. The sheriff’s office says foul play is not suspected.
