Kokomo police identify pedestrian struck, killed
KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — The Kokomo Police Department has identified the woman who died after being hit by a vehicle Thursday morning in Kokomo.
Police have identified the victim as Rudy Resendez, 59 of Kokomo.
The incident happened around 5:45 a.m. on State Road 931 just south of Markland Avenue, according to police.
Police say the driver of the vehicle in the crash stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
All lanes of southbound State Road 931 in the area were closed as emergency crews responded.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
