Colts players, cheerleaders, volunteers to help build playground at local school

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts players will be spending their off day Monday helping to build a playground at a local school.

According to the Colts, more than 200 volunteers form the Colts and other partners will be building a new playground and track at Stephen Foster School 67 on the west side of Indianapolis.

The build is expected to be finished in less than eight hours.

According to the Colts, this is the 10th year the team has worked with other organizations to help build a playground around Indianapolis. It’s part of the team’s ongoing efforts to encourage kids to be active at least 60 minutes a day through the NFL’s Play 60 Campaign.

In a press release, the Colts said the Indianapolis chapter of Rebuilding Together will also help beautify the school grounds and build an outdoor classroom.
