Hot and humid with rain to start the work week
Highs on Saturday broke into the 90s after 14 days with highs below the 90° mark! It’ll be another sweltering day with highs, once again in the 90s with mainly sunny skies. With the heating of the day there could be a few spotty storms but a good portion of te state stays dry this afternoon! Muggy and warm night with lows cooling off to the mid to upper 60s with mostly clear skies.
Monday we welcome in scattered showers ahead of a cold front. The morning should stay dry but take an umbrella with you for the later half of the day. A better chance of showers and storms Monday afternoon with a chance of stronger to severe storms closer to midnight and early Tuesday morning. Highs Monday afternoon will top out in the upper 80s.
Tuesday the entire state is under a Marginal Risk of strong to severe thunderstorms. Main threat being damaging winds and hail. Highs still pretty warm in the mid 80s. Once the cold front passes temperatures will cool off to the lower 80s by mid week with an isolated shower or storm chance during the morning hours. Wednesday afternoon looks to stay dry.
Thursday will be the best day this week with highs sitting comfortably in the mid 80s with mainly sunny skies. The remainder of the work week and next weekend stay near or just slightly above seasonal with minimal shower and storm chances.
