Queens Zoo gaining attention after newest addition
NEW YORK CITY (WISH) – The Queens Zoo in New York City is gaining a lot of attention after it’s newest addition.
A southern pudu fawn, the world’s smallest deer species, was born at the zoo on May 12.
The Wildlife Conservation Society made the announcement on Monday. They also shared the tiny deer is a boy.
The fawn looks like a cross between a deer and a puppy.
Southern pudus typically only grow to be about a foot tall at the shoulder.
