Driver headed wrong way on I-465 arrested
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A driver traveling the wrong direction on I-465 was arrested by Indiana State Police.
According to ISP, traffic was stopped in both directions on I-465 at the Ditch Road overpass for utility work for approximately 10 minutes.
Once the work was finished and traffic was allowed to proceed, police noticed a vehicle traveling the wrong direction.
Police say a white passenger vehicle was headed westbound in the eastbound lane.
The suspect was traveling in an excess of 50 mph.
The driver then attempted to exit onto the Michigan Road.
Police have since arrested the driver.
The driver has been charged with reckless driving.
