TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) -The historic bar in Terre Haute has reopened its doors. The Copper Bar celebrated its grand reopening last week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.

“The Copper Bar has been a staple in the community for years, and my family and I hope to see it remain,” said Greg Gibson, Copper Bar owner. “We believe that the Copper Bar will just be one piece of the downtown development to come.”

Officials say the reopening is just one of the major projects being completed in the city. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce says new and improved attractions and downtown development are part of its “See You In Terre Haute 2025 Community Plan.” The plan aims to position Terre Haute for growth over the next five years.

“With all the momentum coming from our downtown area, it’s great to see local businesses taking initiative to be a part of the movement. The Copper Bar is just one of the many businesses preparing for a new era in Terre Haute. We are happy to have them on board,” said Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett.
