Advice for working through grief
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Grief is something we all deal with at some point in our life and it can change the course of our lives. Whether it’s the loss of a parent, a child, a sibling or a celebrity you don’t even know, it can impact our mental health.
Dr. Danielle Henderson, a clinical psychologist from IU Health, stopped by the Daybreak studios to talk about ways individuals can cope with grief.
“Grief is a natural response to loss,” Dr. Henderson said. “Loss is loss.”
Henderson explained that grief comes in many forms and we have to give ourselves permission to emotionally respond.
