INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A damp start to the morning with light drizzle around for the morning drive. Temperatures will start in the lower 40s and should warm to the mid 40 this afternoon. Showers will stick around through the afternoon as well. We have a Winter Storm Watch that will go in effect this evening through Wednesday evening. The rain will transition to a light wintry mix late tonight and overnight NW of Indy. Lows will fall to the lower 30s.

Wednesday morning snow will become more widespread beginning at 7 a.m. The morning commute should be okay, while the evening commute looks to be messy and snow covered. By the end of the day Wednesday Indy could have 2″-4″ of snow on the ground while areas just north of the city could accumulate 4″-6″. After the snow system exist the state much colder air moves in right behind it. Highs will cool to the lower to mid 30s.

Thursday morning lows will fall to the teens while feel like temperatures plummet to the single digits. Day time highs will warm to the upper 20s.

By the end of the week temperatures will slowly warm to the 30s then 40s through this weekend.
