Kokomo man arrested for attempted murder
KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – A Kokomo man has been taken into custody for a Monday morning shooting.
According to the Kokomo Police Department, 23-year-old Treyshon Banks was arrested following a report of shots fired.
Just after 12:30 a.m. on March 2, officers were called to the 900 block of East Elm Street for a shooting.
After on the scene, officers located the 25-year-old female victim who told police her vehicle was shot at while it was occupied. Police said there were multiple bullet holes in the vehicle but there were no injuries.
During the investigation, officers learned of Banks, who was identified as a possible suspect.
Once interviews were conducted and evidence was collected, Banks was apprehended.
He faces preliminary charges of attempted murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
