Drive-thru testing site opens at Indiana State Fairgrounds
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new local, drive-thru coronavirus test site starts Wednesday morning.
The testing starts at the Champions Pavillion at 10 a.m. specifically for working groups deemed essential in Marion County.
It’s open to several kinds of employees, including veterinary staff, parks and public works, people in package delivery service, IndyGo bus drivers, public safety personnel, correctional officers, jail staff and family members of first responders and military.
Additionally, in order to get a test, one must be symptomatic or have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 and have completed a screening and registration prior to arrival.
The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. On Saturday, it 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while there is no testing Sunday.
