Word Systems acquires Ohio company

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Indianapolis-based Word Systems Inc. has acquired Roach Reid Office Systems in Ohio. The information technology company says the acquisition will bring additional technology and a broader footprint.

Word Systems says the deal allows it to support existing iRecord customers of Roach-Reid and allows it to continue service for the company’s iRecord customers in Ohio, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania.

“We are very excited to welcome the customers and employees of Roach-Reid to the Word Systems family,” said Jim Halsmer, president of Word Systems. “We look forward to continuing to grow our Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia presence with this acquisition.”

The company says the acquisition also allows it to combine its technology with the solutions provided by Roach-Reid, including document management, dictation and transcription, medical and legal voice recognition, and interview recording, among others.
