1.9M frozen chicken products recalled due to possible undercooking
WASHINGTON (NEWS10) – National Steak and Poultry is recalling approximately 1.9 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products due to possible undercooking.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) says the undercooking may result in the potential survival of bacterial pathogens in the products.
The ready-to-eat chicken products were produced on various dates between August 20, 2016 – November 30, 2016.
There have been no reports of adverse health effects or illnesses due to the consumption of the recalled products.
Consumers who have purchased these products are advised not to consume them. The products should be either thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
The USDA says it has classified this recall as a Class I meaning the recalled product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death if consumed.
