Anderson police arrests fatal shooting suspect after week-long investigation
ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – The Anderson Police Department have arrested a suspect for the fatal shooting of Jeremy Silvey.
According to police, Nicolas Stuart Gray, 26 of Anderson, was arrested Wednesday night at his home on the 1700 block of Johnson Avenue in Anderson. Police obtained a search warrant and found items related to the investigation. He was arrested on an initial charge of murder before he was booked into the Madison County Detention Center.
Gray’s arrest came after a week-long investigation.
Police were sent to the parking lot of Lynn Wood Village last Thursday, after Silvey was found unresponsive from a gunshot wound to the head. Silvey died of the injury the next day.
Police are not revealing a motive or any further details about their investigation until Gray is formally charged.
Silvey’s homicide is still being investigated.
