ISDH: 1,155 new COVID-19 cases; 11 additional deaths
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — On Saturday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 1,155 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths.
The new COVID-19 cases are from Sept. 24 to Sept. 25 while the newly reported deaths are from between Sept. 23 and Sept. 25.
In total, there are 116,549 COVID-19 cases and 3,351 deaths related to the virus in Indiana. Another 226 “probable” deaths have occurred, but the state does not have a positive test on record for those.
State officials say 27,028 new tests have now been received. Of those, 9,643 were new individuals. The new tests were administered between July 13 and Sept. 25.
According to ISDH, there have been 1,989,928 tests administered in the state.
The state’s 7-day rate of positivity for unique individuals stands at 6.8%.
According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 32,610,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 22,523,000 recoveries and more than 989,900 deaths.
