Victim hit, killed by train in Fort Wayne ID’d
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who was struck and killed by a train Sunday.40-year-old ear-old Stacy Lynn Carpenter and another person were near the train tracks at East Berry and Hanna Streets.
Medics and police responded to the area just before 3 p.m. Carpenter was found at the scene and was pronounced dead by medics. The other person was hurt and treated by medics.
Carpenter died of blunt force trauma and her death was an accident, according to the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
No other details have been released. The Coroner’s Office, Fort Wayne Police Department and Norfolk Southern Police Department are continuing to investigate.
