Indy Eleven take the field in home opener Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indy Eleven will play a match on the field at the Michael A. Carroll Stadium at IUPUI for the first time this season on Saturday.

The soccer game against the Ottawa Fury FC is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at $11.

The theme of Saturday’s home match is the Bicentennial Celebration, honoring the Hoosier State’s 200th birthday.

“Indiana’s Team” is partnering with the Indiana State Museum to bring some of the state’s rich history to life at “The Mike” during the evening.

Soccer fans can buy tickets for the Bicentennial Picnic Pack, which for $20 per person (minimum of 2) includes an East Goal Bottom of Endline section ticket plus a meal package full of some Hoosier State favorites: pork tenderloin sandwich, corn on the cob, corn chips and a soft drink. The Picnic Pack also includes post-game field access for the chance to score a goal on the Carroll Stadium pitch. Indy Eleven season ticket holders can buy the Bicentennial Picnic Pack for $11.

There will also be limited-edition (200) Bicentennial Night Indy Eleven scarves for sale in honor of the state’s 200th birthday. Each scarf will cost $25.

Fans will get free popcorn after showing the Indy Eleven App. Click here to download.

Members of Gentlemen’s Rule will perform the American and Canadian national anthems at tonight’s game. During halftime there will be an Indiana Bicentennial video (courtesy of WISH-TV), a performance of “Back Home Again in Indiana” by Gentlemen’s Rule and Ray’s Trash Halftime Prize Pitch.

Indy Eleven’s home opener will air on WISH-TV. For the third straight season, 24-Hour News 8 will be the soccer team’s broadcast home. A total of 20 matches will air on WISH-TV and our sister station, MY INDY-TV, that includes nearly all of the team’s home matches plus five away matches. Click here to see the full schedule.
