Rise’n Roll Bakery opens new downtown location

For Chef Ian Kille, the right bread can make or break the grilled cheese. Kille, the Executive Chef of MCL, and Casey McGaughey, the President of MCL, joined us today on Indy Style to cook up some yummy grilled cheese on Rise’n Roll Bacon Onion Cheddar bread and French toast on a sausage roll. Also, they filled us in on their exciting new project!

MCL, Inc., a franchisee of Rise’n Roll Bakery, just opened a new bakery location in downtown Indianapolis, located at 107 E New York Street. It’s right at the start of the Mass Ave Cultural District! Their hours are from Monday to Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

They brought so many sweet treats for us to try, including the award-winning Cinnamon Caramel donut. Rise’n Roll was selected as the Official Donut for National Donut Day in 2018 and recognized as Indiana’s Best Donut Shop by Visit Indy in 2020.

They also have filled donuts, pastries, cookies, pies, Amish cheese, jams, jellies, spreads, and more. We tried the pecan pie and it was delicious! As you can bet, Randy was in donut heaven.
