QB Josh Johnson back on Colts’ roster

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Colts re-signed free agent quarterback Josh Johnson on Wednesday and placed cornerback Jail Brown on the injured reserve list.

Johnson was originally released from the team on Monday after he was signed to the Colts roster on Friday.

He was signed to the team the same week Andrew Luck was limited at practice and missed his first NFL game due to shoulder injury.

It is still not clear if Luck will play in Thursday night’s game against the Texans. However, he did return to practice Monday.

Johnson, 29, has most recently been on the roster for the New York Jets, but he’s also previously played for the 49ers, Bengals, Browns and Buccaneers.

According to the team, Johnson was active but did not play in Sunday’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
