Indianapolis airport using special unit to keep passengers safe
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – With the added security measures that have been implemented in recent, the services of some unconventional officers are now starting to be used.
The Indianapolis airport has started using a special unit made up of man’s best friend.
These K9 units are specifically trained to sniff out many different explosive materials.
Trying to get anything past these highly trained dogs would be extremely difficult.
Their noses are so sensitive that attempting to conceal a dangerous or deadly substance with perfume or cologne would prove to be a meaningless endeavor.
However, unlike most security dogs, the pooches owned by the TSA are allowed to come home and be members of the family.
