Beech-Nut voluntarily recalling baby food nationwide

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Beech-Nut said hundreds of jars of baby food are part of a nationwide recall after a small glass piece was found in a jar.

The Amsterdam New York company Beech-Nut announced a voluntary recall of jars of Classics Stage 2 Sweet Potato & Chicken. Beech-Nut says it has received one report of glass found in a jar.

The recall involves the 4-ounce jars marked December 2016 on the lid and has the USDA mark of inspection of P-68-A. Jars also include product numbers “12395750815” through “12395750821”. The jars were shipped to locations nationwide.

If you have a jar, return it to the store where you bought it for a refund.

No other production dates, jars or varieties of Beech-Nut products are affected by this recall.
