Victims of east side triple shooting identified

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis have released the names of two people who were shot and killed on the east side of the city Tuesday night.

Officers were called to a convenience store in the 1900 block of Prospect Street around 8 p.m. on the report of a person shot. When police arrived they found a 17-year-old male with gunshot wounds. While medics assisted the victim, police got another call about additional victims possibly down in the street, in the 1000 block of Harlan Street.

When officers got to Harlan St., they found two men who had been shot. The victims, identified as 22-year-old Daniel White and 19-year-old Devin Calloway were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say facts surrounding the case are unknown, however, police don’t believe this was a random act.

The 17-year-old victim remained in critical but stable condition Wednesday night at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
