Part of Meridian Street restricted Tuesday morning for manhole repair
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Part of Meridian Street will be closed Tuesday morning as crews from Citizens Energy Group will be repairing a partially caved-in sewer manhole structure.
The two center lanes, one northbound and one southbound, close starting 9 a.m. Monday between 40th and 42nd streets.
It’s not clear yet when the lanes will reopen.
A steel plate is covering the manhole to keep the area safe until the crews can finish repairs.
The brick structure was installed in 1908.
