Indianapolis Professional Association to host fall networking event Friday

What is Indianapolis Professional Association?
IPA was founded by six attorneys and a judge who were members of the Marion County Bar Association (MCBA). The main purpose for its creation was to network and/or join forces with other professional business persons, groups and organizations to make a greater impact in dealing with prevalent issues and matters which affect the local minority community. I.P.A. has its’ primary focus on Networking, Economic Development, Education and Youth Empowerment. IPA later adopted and continues to be champions for student scholars. Each year IPA hosts Achievement Awards and Youth Empowerment event, which recognizes the educational accomplishments of graduating seniors at area high schools and presents book awards to the students. Youth Empowerment component was created to include youth who are making it against the odds and those youth and adults who are engaged in community service initiatives.
Who is our target audience?
Our diverse audience will be comprised of organizational representatives, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, students and other concerned civic-minded people.
What is the purpose of Fall Networking Event?
The 2021 Networking Event will focus on “Exploring Disparities with Local Initiatives to Obtain Racial Equity and Empowerment.” A panel of individuals have been invited to share their thoughts on the topics of Health, Justice, Education, Prosperity and Mutual Empowerment, as well as premier the documenting I.P.A.’s rich history. See Event flyer attached with list of panel members. Also, Mayor Joe Hogestt is scheduled to appear to welcome the attendees.
Who will benefit from the efforts of the Fall Networking Event?
As awareness is raised concerning the disparities which may exist as it relates to health, education, justice, employment, prosperity, mutual empowerment and other noted disparities, I.P.A’s main focus at the October 22nd event will be improving the plight of people of color, especially Blacks.
