Indiana couple honored as foster parents of the year
May is National Foster Care Month, and the Garringer couple from Muncie has been named the 2023 KidsPeace Foster Parents of the Year for Indiana.
In recognition of this honor, Matt and Emily Garringer joined us to discuss their achievement and their nomination for KidsPeace’s National Foster Parent of the Year Award at the upcoming Foster Care and Community Programs Virtual National Conference on May 6th.
KidsPeace is an organization that has been providing help, hope, and healing to children, adults, and their loved ones since 1882.
With a range of programs including residential treatment, education, psychiatric hospital, and foster care services, KidsPeace is committed to empowering individuals to overcome challenges, achieve stability, and transition to independence.
The organization has impacted the lives of almost 300,000 children through its various programs.
