Beautiful Sunday, rain and humidity return this week
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ll end the last weekend of August on a great note, but rain chances and humidity will be on the rise to open up the work week.
Sunday:
High pressure will settle in and keep us dry and comfortable. Expect mostly sunny skies in the morning, with clouds gradually increasing through the afternoon. Highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Sunday Night:
Clouds will continue to build. An upper level disturbance approaching from the south may bring a few showers to our southern counties overnight.
Lows will dip to the lower 60s.
Monday:
Overnight showers will shift a bit to the north and east for Monday morning, leaving parts of central Indiana with isolated showers through around lunch time.
The rest of the afternoon looks partly cloudy and a bit more humid, with highs in the lower 80s.
8-Day Forecast:
Another round of showers and storms will arrive Tuesday. There is a marginal risk for severe storms, with damaging winds the primary concern.
Another upper level wave will bring rain chances to the area on Wednesday. A cold front moving through on Thursday will bring one last chance for showers and storms before cooler and drier air settles in for Friday into the holiday weekend.
