GM to halt production at Fort Wayne plant due to parts shortage
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — General Motors announced it will halt production next week at its pickup truck assembly plant in Fort Wayne.
A GM spokesperson told News 8 that the Fort Wayne Assembly production is canceled for the week starting Monday due to a temporary parts shortage.
Production is expected to resume on Sept. 5 following Labor Day.
Per the GM website, the facility has 4,419 employees and produces 1,300 trucks each day.
