Colts fans rally for playoff game against Texans
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts fans are buzzing with excitement for Saturday’s playoff game against the Houston Texans.
The party starts Friday night at The Rathskeller, where Pat McAfee and country singer Clayton Anderson will host a free playoff party. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the first 250 people in get free Colts merchandise.
The One America building’s marquee downtown summed up the feelings of Colts fans: “Houston, you have a problem.”
The Colts Pro Shop saw a steady flow of customers Friday, stocking up on gear for the big game.
“This team is on a roll right now. You start out 1-5 and, the roll that they are on, there’s no team that they can’t compete with,” Colts fan Tim Miller said.
“How could you not root for a guy like Eric Ebron? I’m really excited,” Colts fan Thomas Wachtel said.
That excitement is flowing all the way to City Hall, where Mayor Joe Hogsett proclaimed Friday “Believe In Blue” Day.
He also tweeted that Andrew Luck should be “Comeback Player of The Year,” while Deshaun Watson is the “on-his-back player of the year,” because of the many times he’s been sacked.
Tomorrow’s @Colts game will feature two QBs who enjoyed historic years: @CaptAndrewLuck’s 4,500+ yards and 39 TDs as “Comeback Player of the Year,” and DeShaun Watson’s 62 sacks for -384 yards as “On-His-Back Player of the Year.”

Fans and bars across the city are gearing up for watch parties.
Union Jack Pub in Broad Ripple will host a watch party featuring an interactive fantasy football game.
“Andrew Luck is the man,” Union Jack cook Noah Danner said. “The Colts started 1-5 and they came back and they made the playoffs because Andrew Luck drove them to succeed.”
