Colts lineman arrested in Arizona

SCOTTSDALE, Az. (WISH) – A lineman for the Indianapolis Colts was arrested in Arizona over the weekend.

A man told Scottsdale police that around 2:15 a.m. he picked up three people in his transportation cart from a downtown bar, NFL.com reports. As he got out of the cart to receive payment, he says Colts lineman David Parry hit him in the head and stole the cart.

Police found the cart crashed into a gate and Parry on the sidewalk nearby. Police told NFL.com that the football player appeared drunk.

He was taken into custody and faces preliminary charges of theft, robbery, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. Police say there was no connection between Parry and the other two riders.

A spokesperson for the Colts released this statement: “We are aware of the reports and are gathering more information.”

Parry played collegiately at Stanford University and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.

He posted 47 tackles and three sacks for the Colts last season.
