Crash on I-465 snarls southeast side traffic
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 465 on the southeast side of Indianapolis Wednesday morning, Indiana State Police officials said.
It happened on I-465 northbound, at the 49 mile marker, which is just south of Interstate 74 and Southeastern Avenue.
Police said there were injuries at the scene of the crash, but it’s unclear how badly those individuals were hurt.
Drivers should avoid the area as emergency personnel respond.
INDOT reported around 5 a.m. that the left lane of northbound I-465 was closed near I-74 and Southeastern Ave due to the crash.
