1 seriously injured in shooting on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in serious condition following an overnight shooting on the city’s near north side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 800 block of East 38th Street for a report of a person shot.
After arriving on the scene, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound
Events leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time.
No suspect or victim information has been released.
