New player in the retail TV business

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new name is joining the well-known ones in the retail TV world.

Samsung LG, Vizio and other standbys have company.

Amazon announced earlier in September that they begin selling televisions.

The company said sets will begin at $370 with built-in Fire TV and Alexa functionality. They’ll be available starting in October and will be sold at Best Buy and on Amazon.

Nelson Spade, general manager of Circulus Digital Media, was on Daybreak Thursday.

According to Spade, Amazon’s move into the retail market is about two things: advertising and the distribution of content.
