COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Columbus firefighters rescued a woman with a low angle rope rescue after her vehicle crashed into an embankment on Monday.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Indianapolis Road and County Road 100 North. Officials say the vehicle went about 100 feet down the embankment before hitting a tree.
Firefighters used a rope system which included a backboard with straps and basket sides to contain the victim.
