Coronavirus can lead to heart, brain, kidney damage

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New reports suggest the coronavirus could potentially lead to long-term organ damage. 

On Monday, News 8’s medical reporter, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., discussed the research that suggests a link between a COVID-19 infection and heart damage, neurological disorders and a decline in kidney function. 

These findings could drastically change the way coronavirus infected patients are managed and treated.
